HIMT company announcement: The new Management Board
Heidelberg, August 22, 2017. The Heidelberg Instruments GmbH Board of Directors has announced that Steffen Diez has been appointed Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Konrad Roessler has been appointed Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Mr Roessler has been with Heidelberg Instruments since 1994, active in R&D and customer applications, and has been a key contributor in the start-up and management of our customer support offices in Asia. He returns from a several years’ stay in Japan, and brings with him a thorough knowledge of the requirements of industrial customers regarding lithography equipment. Mr Steffen Diez joined the company in 2000, gathering extensive experience in the roles of leader of the Data Conversion Software group, R&D Manager, and Product Manager. He has been responsible for the development and extremely successful introduction of the MLA series to the market. Both have served on the Technical Board since its inception.
Martin Wynaendts will continue his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.
The new management structure prepares the company for its continuing growth and increasing business development in the future: Global Sales, growing markets and new customer segments can be addressed with strengthened and sharpened focus, while production capacities will be developed further and adjusted to the ever-growing demand.
With the success of our new MLA series, as well as the launch of the DWL66+ and the VPG+ series, we recognize the necessity of further strengthening our position by being able to focus concentration and effort on the abovementioned areas.
A new Management Board will replace the Technical Board, which until now served to advise the CEO in his decisions. The former members of the Technical Board will continue to play a vital role in the future of Heidelberg Instruments and will continue to give advice to the Board of Directors.
